Trauma-Informed Yoga

​We all walk through this life bearing scars no one else can see. While trauma is sometimes visible, for most, it is a silent burden for many, carried by the body, hidden from the mind, and agonizing to the soul.

​If you are ready to release what you've been carrying, I invite you to join me:

• ​Locate: Take a moment for yourself to focus on a specific person, memory, or event, and find where it is stored in your body.

• ​Reflect: Use a guided worksheet to gently focus your intent and bring clarity to what you find.

• ​Release: Transition into a free-form yoga practice, learning to listen deeply to exactly what your body needs in the present moment.

• ​Soothe: We will incorporate calming essential oils to help ground and quiet the mind and body.

​About Your Guide:

This practice is the culmination of my life’s work. It integrates my 13 years of experience as a hospice nurse, a Master’s degree in the science of Psychology, and specialized certifications in yoga and trauma-informed care. Most importantly, it is born from the deep understanding of my own personal traumas, and a calling to share how we can truly heal the self from within.

Please bring a yoga mat and water, and arrive 10–15 minutes early to settle into the space.

By attending classes and activities at Madre Tierra Wellness Farm, I acknowledge that participation in yoga, movement, stretching, breathwork, meditation, sauna use, cold plunge therapy, and related wellness activities involves inherent physical and emotional risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, dizziness, muscle strain, emotional release, or aggravation of existing conditions.

I understand that participation is voluntary and I assume full responsibility for my health, safety, and well-being. I agree to practice within my own limits and will inform the instructor of any injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy, or concerns prior to participation.

I understand that outdoor activities may involve uneven terrain, weather conditions, insects, and other natural environmental factors.

I acknowledge that sauna and cold plunge experiences, if offered, are optional and participated in entirely at my own risk.

I hereby release and hold harmless Madre Tierra Wellness Farm, its owners, instructors, guest teachers, facilitators, staff, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, injuries, losses, damages, or causes of action arising from my participation in classes, events, use of facilities, amenities, or property access.

I understand that photographs and videos may be taken during classes and events for promotional purposes. By attending, I consent to the use of my image unless I notify the instructor prior to class.

By registering for or attending this class, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to these terms.
