Flow Social, presented by [Flow Fests](https://flowfests.com "Flow Fests")

Gather | Chatter | Play!

Flow Social is a community Flow Arts & Dance Jam experience designed for all ages.  We'll open the jam with a brief introduction and then crank up the tunes for open exploration, with or without props! There will be extra poi, hula hoops, leviwands and juggling balls to borrow, and we'll have a bite-sized playshop right in the middle. Bring a friend or make a friend, or both: Flow Social invites you to come out and play!

What are Flow Arts?

Flow arts are forms of movement and dance that incorporate object manipulation to enter a state of flow, described by psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi as an exhilarating transcendent way of being in which effortless control and peak skill seem to erase a sense of time. Flow arts props include poi, staff and hoops; dancers manipulate these props to enhance the expressive qualities of their dance. The result is an awe-inspiring visual spectacle of improvised movement.
