As a forward operating academy (FOA) of Jiu-Jitsu Panama Academy, founded in 2002, Hector Vasquez, a 4th-degree black belt and the first BJJ black belt in Panama, formed and launched Harpy Jiu-Jitsu here in Miami in 2022. Harpy Jiu-Jitsu aims to teach you the most fundamental and effective self-defense skills, both on the ground, where most street battles end, and standing up. You will become skilled and equipped to improve your chances of surviving a genuine conflict as you study strategies. Nevertheless, you are welcome to improve your physical fitness in a non-competitive setting!
