[*Run The Weekend*](instagram.com/runtheweekendproject) is a community-based running festival rooted in the belief that **everyone is a runner — or has the potential to be**.

Whether you're just curious about what running could mean for you or you're a full-fledged athlete, this weekend is for you. We’re creating a space where **all paces, backgrounds, and identities** are welcome to explore, move, and have fun.

This isn’t your typical running event — it’s a full-blown celebration. **Expect** **group runs, races, a panel, music, food, portraits, and one legendary Saturday night finale.**

Come for the runs — but more than anything, come to **connect**. Dance to the music, get your portrait taken in our pop-up studio, hear an inspiring panel, and close out the weekend with one unforgettable party.

#### **FRIDAY, AUGUST 8**

* **6:00 PM** – Check in! Please check in to receive your wristband - it’s required for race participation and photos!

This race will include 2 loops around the lake as fast as you can go.  After one lap, you’ll be presented with a shot of hot sauce and a chaser of an electrolyte shot provided by HYDRYX. Then it’s back around the lake for one more lap! The top 3 finishers will receive a medal, gift cards from [Smoke and Donuts](https://www.instagram.com/smokeanddonuts/), and an assortment of prizes!
* 1:40 PM -Jog from Easy Luck to Lake Underhill.
* 2:00 pm - **Mid-Day Heater Race Kick off!!!**

RUN THE WEEKEND – PARTICIPANT WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY

By signing this waiver, I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in Run The Weekend, a running and community event created by David Lawrence & Backbone Media Group and hosted in collaboration with Easy Luck Coffee & Bodega and Whippoorwill Beer House.

I understand that participation in any physical activity, including but not limited to running, group exercise, and racing, involves inherent risks of injury, illness, or other potential harm. I certify that I am in good physical health and have no medical condition that would prevent me from safely engaging in physical activity.

By signing this agreement:

I assume full responsibility for any risk of bodily injury, illness, or death that may result from participating in this event, whether caused by my own negligence, the negligence of others, or other conditions.

I release and discharge David Lawrence, Backbone Media Group, Easy Luck Coffee & Bodega, Whippoorwill Beer House, sponsors, affiliates, volunteers, and event staff from any and all claims, demands, damages, liabilities, or causes of action related to or arising from my participation in Run The Weekend.

I understand that this event will be photographed and filmed. By attending, I consent to being recorded, and I grant permission for my likeness, image, and voice to be used in any promotional or commercial content connected to Run The Weekend or its affiliated entities.

I agree to follow all event guidelines and respect the safety instructions provided by the organizers. I will not participate in any official run or race unless I have signed this waiver.

I have read this waiver and fully understand its terms. I acknowledge that I am signing this document voluntarily and that by doing so, I am giving up certain legal rights.
