AZ Run Club Liability Waiver & Release
Welcome to AZ Run Club! We’re so glad you’re here. Before joining our runs, please read and sign this waiver — it helps protect both you and our community.
Acknowledgment of Risks
I understand that participating in activities with AZ Run Club — including but not limited to running, jogging, walking, stretching, and related social events — involves inherent risks. These risks include, but are not limited to: slips, trips, falls, collisions with other people, vehicles, or objects, adverse weather conditions, road or trail hazards, dehydration, heat stroke, animal encounters, and other unforeseen circumstances. These risks may result in injury, illness, permanent disability, property damage, or even death.
Assumption of Responsibility & Risk
I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, whether known or unknown, and take full responsibility for my participation. I agree that it is my responsibility to determine my physical fitness, follow all traffic and safety laws, and participate at my own pace and judgment.
Release of Liability
In consideration of being allowed to participate, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless AZ Run Club, its organizers, leaders, volunteers, members, sponsors, partners, property owners, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action of any kind, whether arising from negligence, gross negligence, or otherwise, related to my participation.
This release applies to all injuries, damages, or losses I may sustain, including those caused by the actions or inactions of others, and survives even if a court finds part of this agreement unenforceable.
Medical Consent
I certify that I am physically able to participate. I consent to emergency medical treatment if necessary and accept full financial responsibility for any medical services provided.
Photos & Media
I grant permission to AZ Run Club to use photographs, video, or likenesses of me taken during activities for promotional or community purposes without expectation of compensation.
Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and defend AZ Run Club, its organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and partners against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) brought by third parties arising out of or related to my participation.
Final Agreement
I certify that I am at least 18 years of age, or that my parent/guardian has read and agreed to this waiver on my behalf. I have read and fully understand this waiver, and by signing, I voluntarily agree to all terms.
