Come and discover this 3.0-mile loop trail around the[ Lafayette Reservoir](https://www.ebmud.com/recreation/east-bay/lafayette-reservoir). Generally considered an easy route on a paved pathway, it takes an average of 1.5 hours to complete. There is some shade throughout the trail, mellow to moderate incline and plenty of rest stops with bathrooms and tables. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.

Meet in the parking lot [here](https://maps.app.goo.gl/1vjkcyW37HS2dzKfA) and start walking at 1:45 pm, we'll wait a few minutes before starting. For anyone arriving late you can text Rachel to see where we are on the trail if you want to try and catch up.

After our walk please feel free to join us for non-alcoholic cocktails at [Sipeos ](https://www.sipeos.com/)approximately 6 miles down the road (15 min drive). Located next to Macy's **inside** the Broadway Shopping Plaza.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I understand and acknowledge that participating in this walking event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Physical exertion and potential for fatigue, dehydration, or heat-related illness; uneven terrain, inclines, and paved pathways that may cause trips, slips, or falls; exposure to weather conditions including sun, heat, cold, or sudden weather changes; wildlife encounters and environmental hazards; other participants, pedestrians, cyclists, and leashed dogs on the trail; travel to and from the event location and optional after-event gathering.
I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in this event with full knowledge of these risks and assume all risks associated with my participation.
PHYSICAL CONDITION
I certify that I am physically fit and have no medical conditions that would prevent my safe participation in this walking event. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician prior to participating if I have any concerns about my physical condition or ability to participate safely.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
In consideration of being permitted to participate in this event, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Renew Collective, Taper/Ecology Action, the event organizers, Rachel (event organizer), volunteers, and any affiliated persons or organizations (collectively "Released Parties") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me while participating in this event or while on the premises, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.
INDEMNIFICATION
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any loss, liability, damage, or costs, including attorney fees, that may incur due to my participation in this event, whether caused by my own negligence or otherwise.
MEDIA RELEASE
I grant permission to Renew Collective to use photographs, videos, or other media taken during this event for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, website, and marketing materials.
WEATHER POLICY
I understand that this event will be rescheduled if weather conditions become rainy or otherwise unsafe. I will check for updates prior to the event and understand that the organizers reserve the right to cancel or modify the event for safety reasons.
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
I understand that I am responsible for:
Bringing appropriate supplies (water, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, comfortable shoes); following all posted trail rules and regulations; keeping any dogs I bring on a leash at all times; my own transportation to and from the event and optional after-event location; my conduct during the optional after-event gathering at Sipeos.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF UNDERSTANDING
I have read this waiver and release of liability, fully understand its terms, and understand that I am giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue. I acknowledge that I am signing this agreement freely and voluntarily and intend my signature to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
