Calling all runners and basketball fans! 

Please join us for our first annual Wizards Community Run Club event on Saturday, March 29th. 

We will kick things off by meeting at [GROUNDED](https://feelgrounded.com/ "GROUNDED"), located at 1913 Martin Luther King Jr Ave SE, Washington, DC 20020. 

The run will start at 10am, so please be sure to arrive by 9:45 for check-in and coffee! After the run, there will be some final remarks before everyone goes home to get ready for the Wizards game. 

We will be opening the doors up to all the runners at 51:5 for Early Entry, so please be sure to arrive at the Gallery Place Entrance at the arena to catch warmups before doors open to the public! $3 of each ticket sale will go to [Leveling The Playing Field](https://www.levelingtheplayingfield.org/ "Leveling The Playing Field."). LPF redistributes equipment to expand access and equity within youth sports and recreation programs in under-resourced communities.



We will have a one mile walking route and a 2-3 mile running route. All paces are welcomed.

By signing this waiver, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms as a participant in the Wizards Community Run Club event organized by D17.

1. Assumption of Risk  
I understand that participation in a running event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, effects of weather, road conditions, and unforeseen obstacles. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in this event.

2. Release of Liability  
I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby waive, release, and discharge D17, event sponsors, organizers, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, or damages arising out of my participation in the event, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, property damage, or death.

3. Fitness to Participate  
I certify that I am physically fit to participate in this event and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical professional. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to ensure I am medically capable of running in this event.

4. Medical Treatment Authorization 
In the event of an emergency, I consent to receive medical treatment as deemed necessary by medical personnel. I understand that I am responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

5. Media Release  
I grant D17 and its affiliates permission to use photographs, videos, or recordings of me taken during the event for promotional, marketing, or other legitimate purposes without compensation.

6. Compliance with Event Rules
I agree to follow all event rules, instructions from event organizers, and any applicable local laws. I acknowledge that failure to comply may result in my removal from the event.

7. Governing Law  
This waiver shall be governed by the laws of the District of Columbia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of Washington, D.C.
